Osam Energy Company Ltd. was initially set up to pursue various petroleum and energy related interests. However, it has recently, through subsidiaries and joint ventures, gotten involved in real estate acquisitions in commercial cities across West Africa, including Ghana. Two other major oil companies associated with Osam Energy Company Ltd. for several years are, Paves SF SA. CH and PAFECO Petroleum SA. CH. Nana Aggrey, the Founder of the Osam Group is also the co-Founder of Addax Petroleum and Oryx Petroleum Company of Canada, Geneva, and Nigeria. Over the past 15 years, Osam in partnership with Basic Resources Oil & Gas and Addax Petroleum have collaborated in the worldwide activities of crude oil processing, petroleum products marketing, and crude oil refining on contract and shipment of refined products to end users such as Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and Freetown Refinery, Sierra Leone.
The Consortium for many years, lifted crude oil from Nigeria up to quantities of over 150,000 barrels a day.
